Responsibilities
- Maintain a current Nationally Certified Technician's license.Â
- Perform functions and responsibilities of a Pharmacy Clerk.Â
- Provide prompt, courteous customer service.Â
- Utilize, update, and maintain data on Pharmacy computer system.Â
- Operate cash register and scanning terminal.Â
- Maintain Pharmacy files and records.Â
- Order prescription merchandise from specified sources.Â
- Process Third Party transactions and forms.Â
- Call doctors' offices for refill authorizations.Â
- Fill and package nursing home accounts under direction of pharmacist.Â
- Process prescriptions and maintain related systems under direction of pharmacist.Â
- Able to effectively communicate with customers and associates.Â
- Keep floors, clean, safe, and free from clutter.Â
- Make a friendly impression on customers.Â
- Keep inventory of current medications and process orders for new medication shipments.Â
- Stock shelves with medications.Â
- Follow all current rules and duties of the Pharmacy, Company, and State and Federal laws.Â
- Must keep work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.Â
- Be prompt, tactful, calm, courteous, and professional in all interactions.Â
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.Â
- Maintain equipment and facilities properly and safely in accordance with company policies and procedures.Â

- Able to perform Pharmacy clerk and/or checker duties.Â
- Confidentially regarding customer records is expected as a condition of ongoing employment.Â
- Pharmacy Technician Certification or pass certification exam.Â
- Vocabulary in pharmacy terms and abbreviations.Â
- Knowledge of common drugs, dosage forms, and generic names.Â
Desired
- Pharmacy technician work experience or similar experience.Â
