The architectural associate position is responsible for the design, coordination and delivery of all phases of construction drawings.  This is accomplished through:

 

Leadership

  • Create foundational trust based on the highest integrity and the dignity of every person
  • Assist in leading the project design process with in-house architects / engineers
  • Assist in leading the design-build team to prepare complete and accurate proposals
  • Oversee and manage design staff as needed to complete your project
  • Communicate clearly and affectively to supervisor and design staff

 

Creation / Development/ Maintenance

  • Develop and manage drawings from preliminary to for construction level
  • Successfully manage an integrated and collaborative BIM workflow as outlined by the Design Manager
  • Ensure quality is properly maintained on each project
  • Actively participate in policy and procedure development
  • Work in conjunction with management to prepare personnel forecast to project employment needs
  • Demonstrate the ability to manage company risk while creating drawings

 

Financial Controls

  • When preparing a proposal set of drawings stay in close communication with your supervisor to ensure budgets are met
  • Provide input to team members and supervisors in the interest of optimizing departmental operating costs

To perform this job successfully the employee must have the following:

 

  • An architectural degree or similar degree
  • The ability to operate a computer, computer networks, common software and communication devices. 
  • The ability to demonstrate a high level of technical skill in the field of architecture
  • The ability to communicate at a high level, both receiving and disseminating information for clear understanding
  • The ability to understand broad direction and then formulate and execute detailed complex plans to meet that direction
  • The ability to make complex judgments in the interest of the company and employees
  • Can demonstrate and be considered a leader in company values
  • Duties may also include other related management and engineering activities as assigned by his/her immediate supervisor.
