Be the HR partner leaders count on and help shape an exceptional colleague experience.
At Canyon Ranch, wellbeing is at the heart of what we do—for our guests and for the colleagues who bring our experience to life every day. For more than 45 years, we have helped people pursue a well way of life through immersive experiences, personal guidance, evidence-based practices, and meaningful human connection.
Â
We’re looking for an HR Business Partner who is energized by people, business, and the opportunity to make an impact.
Â
This isn’t an HR role that operates from the sidelines. You’ll work directly with leaders across the business as a trusted advisor and strategic thought partner—helping them attract great talent, build strong teams, navigate complex people challenges, develop future leaders, and create an environment where colleagues can do their best work.
Â
The ideal candidate is comfortable moving between strategy and execution. One day you may be coaching a leader through a performance challenge, the next you may be building a succession plan, conducting a workplace investigation, facilitating a leadership discussion, or developing a creative recruiting strategy for a hard-to-fill role.
Responsibilities
Partner with Leaders & Shape Talent Strategy
Build strong relationships with business leaders and become a trusted resource on the people decisions that impact their teams. Use your HR expertise and business judgment to challenge thinking, identify opportunities, and translate business needs into thoughtful people strategies. Support workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, succession planning, and talent decisions that prepare the organization for what’s next.
Â
Develop & Retain Great Talent
Help leaders identify, develop, and retain high-performing and high-potential colleagues. Support talent reviews, succession planning, career development, performance management, and retention strategies. Coach leaders through performance conversations and facilitate training and development opportunities that strengthen leadership capability across the organization.
Â
Create an Engaging & Inclusive Colleague Experience
Partner with leaders to build teams where colleagues feel respected, supported, and connected to the Canyon Ranch mission. Identify opportunities to strengthen engagement, inclusion, communication, and team effectiveness while helping leaders turn colleague feedback into meaningful action.
Â
Navigate Employee Relations with Confidence
Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and colleagues when workplace concerns arise. Conduct timely, thorough, and objective investigations; coach leaders through complex employee relations matters; and help identify solutions that balance the colleague experience, business needs, consistency, and risk.
Â
Provide guidance on company policies and employment practices while supporting compliance with federal, state, and local employment requirements. Partner with HR leadership and legal counsel when appropriate on agency inquiries and other complex employment matters.
Â
Find the People Who Will Make Us Better
Partner with Talent Acquisition and business leaders to identify and attract exceptional talent. Support recruiting for key and hard-to-fill positions, including sourcing passive candidates, interviewing, assessing talent, and helping leaders make thoughtful and timely hiring decisions. You’ll also help ensure candidates experience the same level of care and hospitality that we expect our guests and colleagues to experience at Canyon Ranch.
What Success Looks Like
You’ll know you’re making an impact when leaders seek you out early—not just when there’s an HR issue. You understand the business behind the people decisions, bring solutions instead of simply identifying problems, and help leaders build stronger teams.
You’ll help Canyon Ranch:
- Attract and retain exceptional talent
- Build a strong pipeline of future leaders
- Improve colleague engagement and performance
- Navigate complex people decisions thoughtfully and consistently
- Strengthen leadership capability across the organization
- Create a workplace where talented people want to build their careers
Who Will Thrive in This Role
You’ll likely love this role if you’re someone who:
- Enjoys being close to the business and building trusted relationships with leaders
- Can balance empathy with accountability
- Is comfortable having candid conversations and respectfully challenging perspectives
- Brings sound judgment to situations that aren't always black and white
- Can zoom out to think strategically and jump in when execution is needed
- Enjoys solving people problems rather than simply administering HR processes
- Is curious, approachable, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment
- Believes HR can be both a strong colleague advocate and a strategic business partner
At Canyon Ranch, our people create the experiences that change lives. As an HR Business Partner, you’ll help us find those people, develop them, support them, and build the kind of workplace where they can thrive.
