Job DetailsJob Location: MEL TN - Lenoir City, TN 37771Job Title: Kit Builder Department: Manufacturing Reports To: Supervisor FLSA Status: Hourly   Summary. This position is responsible for preparing kits of wire and components necessary for harness assembly. Execute duties with a high degree of quality, with few defects and within the labor time requirements for the harnesses being assembled.   Essential Duties and Responsibilities. Understands and demonstrates safety as priority in all work-related activities. Maintains standards of a clean and organized work environment.  Pre-plugs and/or sub-assembles components (wire and hardware) in accordance with drawings. Capable of interpreting tickets, work orders, and shop orders to ensure correct outcome is achieved. Capable of identifying defective product presented to the work-cell as well as the outcomes of the work-cell. QualificationsQualifications   Education and/or Experience: High school diploma and/or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.   Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.   Mathematical Skills:  Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.  Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.   Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply logical reasoning to carry out instruction furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
