Team Member - Mixer Operator

Â
Reporting to the Team Leader and/or Line Leader, the The Mixer/Scaler is responsible for accurately mixing and scaling ingredients to produce batches that consistently meet quality standards and production requirements in a timely and efficient manner. You will support your Team Leader by demonstrating and practicing teamwork every day and respecting all your fellow Team Members.  Â

Duties & Responsibilities:Â
- Weigh and measure ingredients per the batch sheet specifications using appropriate equipment, including manual scales or automated scaling systems.Â
- Ensure all ingredients comply with established quality standards before use and report any inventory shortages or discrepancies to the leaders.Â
- Operate industrial mixers to blend ingredients into doughs or batters, strictly following specified mixing recipes to ensure consistent product quality.Â
- Capable of operating the OFS/San-Casciano system for fully automated mixing processes.Â
- Check texture, consistency, pH and temperature of mixed products to ensure they meet quality standards.Â
- Uses a variety of tools (scales, thermometers, knives, etc.)Â in a safe and efficient mannerÂ
- Responsible for adhering to the mixing schedule and communicating any delays to leadership in a timely manner, along with valid reasons.Â
- Report any safety, quality, food safety or any equipment malfunctions or issues to the production leaders.Â
- Help investigate and resolve batch inconsistencies or quality issues.Â
- Maintain accurate, real-time records of mixing activities, including ingredients used, critical processing parameters, and any deviations from standard procedures.Â
- Proficient in using RF guns to perform all inventory-related transactions, ensuring compliance with SAP/OMS procedures and protocolsÂ
- Participates in cleaning up responsibilities (must maintain a clean working environment by cleaning the floors and disposing of waste throughout the mixing area). Â
- Ensure proper segregation and disposal of food, plastic, and paper waste to support environmental sustainability and compliance with waste management policies. Â
- Follows all GMP’s, Food Safety and Health and Safety Procedures as outlined by FGF Brands.Â
- Perform return-to-stock activities and return all packaging materials upon completion of production runs and after each changeover.Â
- Prevent contamination by practicing proper hygiene and allergen control.Â
- Able to perform all the general team member tasks in the plant or any other duties as assigned.Â

Required Experience and SkillsÂ
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment (food/bakery experience is desirable) Â
- Internal candidates must have worked at FGF as a General TM in Production/Sanitation for a minimum of 6 monthsÂ
- External candidates must have worked as a Mixer for a minimum of 1 yearÂ
- Accuracy and attention to detail and the ability to detect the presence of a quality issue Â
- Good communication skills, along with simple mathematical abilities  Â
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision  Â
- Ability to operate manual pump truck /electric walkie in safe and efficient manner and perform daily inspection.Â
- Physically capable of performing the demands of the role, including lifting up to 50 lb.  Â
- Ability to move from one task to another with minimal distraction Â
- Comfortable working in cold, warm, or humid environments, and flexible to work days, afternoons, nights, and weekends as needed.Â
