Electronic Technician III

This position requires a Secret clearance.

Provide electronic technical support for the Integrated Commercial Intrusion Detection Systems (ICIDS) at  Ft. Sill Army Oklahoma. The Electronic Technician III will work with the team lead and senior technician to shall support, repair, install and maintain all ICIDS zones and equipment on Fort Sill as required in the applicable maintenance and security publications. These services shall include installing, configuring, troubleshooting, replacing and repairing all ICIDS equipment, and software. Services shall also include the removal, installation, relocation, programming changes and modification to ensure overall equipment operation is within or exceeding manufacturer's operating specifications on all ICIDS throughout the installation.

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Electronic Technician III: $34.00 to $37.00 per hour. 

Pay commensurate with experience.

Electronic Technician III Responsibilities Include: 

• Assists with location surveys to identify new ICIDS requirements.
• Perform required software/system changes necessary to ensure equipment functionality. 
• Assist in preparation of work requests 
• Schedule and perform preventative maintenance checks on ICIDS systems to include complete operational tests and verifications of operations
• Maintain and manage ICIDS database that allows authorized users on remote status monitors to access, monitor, and manage personnel
• Provide maintenance for ICIDS with special features such as: Advanced Encryption Standard (AES), enhanced keypads, and Intrinsically Safe (IS) sensors/features as applicable
• Perform standard and emergency maintenance service calls to include wiring and sensor changes as necessary
• Checking and/or changing backup batteries as needed
• Installations of new zones as required, which includes complete installation, wiring terminations, data base changes to facilitate complete operation
• Reconfigurations of zones as necessary, which includes removal/replacement/relocating sensors and appropriate wiring to facilitate the reconfiguration.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Electronic Technician III Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested: 

• 4 years of experience in related field or discipline. 

• At least 2 years of working with ICIDS or similar type of intrusion detection system preferred, but experience in like discipline may be substituted.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills (verbal and written) enabling precise conveyance of information across all customer sections

• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and critical thinking/problem solving skills.

• Ability to exercise independent judgment in performing repairs or standard maintenance.

• Ability to be flexible, dependable, and multi-task with evolving priorities.

• Ability to provide excellent customer service.

• Requires a Secret clearance within 90 days and fully adjudicated Secret clearance within 180 days.

• Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
