Summary

Our HVAC Installation Manager oversees the entire installation department, coordinating scheduling, material procurement, and field crew activities to ensure profitable, safe, and high-quality installations. Key duties include scheduling projects, managing team productivity, addressing customer concerns, reviewing job packets, and conducting site inspections.


Essential Functions

  • Direct oversight of installation dispatching, ordering, warehousing, truck inventory and maintenance, and tool inventory and maintenance
  • Oversee the building and completion of installation job packets to include ensuring complete and accurate forms in job folders.
  • Accurate ordering of materials to complete each installation and to ensure profitability.
  • Approves assignment of installation crews to each installation job
  • Manages the coordination of materials procurement with approved vendors for maximum efficiency and cost.
  • Manages the tracking of all unused materials and returning or reusing another job as applicable.
  • Manages the inventory of all trucks and warehouse material and stock products.
  • Maintains safety and quality as a top priority by scheduling and conducting monthly safety meetings.
  • Conducts regular job site and truck inspections
  • Ensures permit filing for installations requiring local permits to commence job.
  • Maintains departmental budget expectations to include job cost analysis of completed jobs.
  • Updates and amends schedules when necessary to keep a systematic plan for the Company and department. 
  • Proactively resolves customer concerns ensuring satisfaction.
  • Creates and maintains processes for payroll processing within the department including team members’ GPSs, time sheets, supplemental pay, and time off requests.
  • Conducts coaching and discipline reviews with field team members.
  • Provides technical support and training for field team members 
  • Manages the call back and correction processes.
  • Supports the Install Director and Sales Director in terms of job costing on each installation.
  • Enforces safety for install crews. 
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience of previous leadership roles within HVAC installation or related field
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems, building codes, and safety procedures.
  • EPA and NATE certification preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage teams and build professional relationships.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems and scheduling software
  • Must display strong communication skills and technical competence.
  • Strong initiative to drive growth through superior customer service.
  • An interest in working in a fast-paced environment focused on customer service.
  • A can-do attitude with a high degree of integrity, sense of urgency and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with MS Office products and advanced Phone Apps
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Ability to pass a thorough background check and drug screen.
  • Clean and valid driver’s license and the ability to maintain a clean driving record.
