Server Assistant – El Burro Borracho | Harrah’s Laughlin

Why It’s More Than a Job

As a Server Assistant, you help create the unforgettable dining experience that makes Burro Borracho one of Harrah’s most energetic and flavorful destinations. You’ll support our servers, keep the dining room running smoothly, and deliver the legendary Caesars Family Style Service guests return for.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

• Set & Reset Tables — Ensure all tables are fully set before and after each shift
• Maintain Cleanliness — Keep all areas clean, organized, and free of debris
• Polish Glassware as needed to maintain presentation standards
• Clear & Restock Side Stations with dishes, linen, and proper glassware
• Assist Servers with coffee, hot tea service, and guest needs
• Move & Arrange Tables to accommodate reservations and large parties
• Carry Multiple Dishes (up to 6 in one hand) without tray service
• Collaborate with Team Members to ensure smooth operations
• Promote Positive Guest Relations with every interaction
• Perform Additional Duties as assigned by the F&B Manager or Supervisor

Qualifications

To excel in this role, you’ll bring professionalism, teamwork, and a commitment to guest satisfaction. You’ll also maintain working knowledge of all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.

Education & Experience

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• 6 months of related experience or training
• Valid SNHD Health Card and NV Alcohol Card (must be obtained and maintained)
• Effective communication in English, including reading and writing
• Proficiency with POS and cash handling systems
• Ability to present a clean, courteous, guest‑friendly image
• Knowledge of or willingness to learn company policies and safety regulations
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)

Additional Requirements

• Lift up to 50 lbs. and push/pull up to 150 lbs.
• Stand and walk for the entire shift, including stairs
• Work in hot, cold, smoky, or dusty environments
