We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Full-Time Night Shift Patient Care Assistant to join our Operating Room team. In this hands-on role, you'll help keep surgical procedures running safely and efficiently by transporting and positioning patients, preparing operating rooms, maintaining supplies and equipment, supporting sterile workflows, and providing patient care and clerical support.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification. These are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of all job duties performed by personnel so classified.
Â
• Transport patients to and from the Operating Room while ensuring patient identification and comfort.
• Prepare operating rooms by stocking supplies, cleaning and disinfecting surgical suites, and maintaining equipment readiness.
• Assist with patient positioning, pre-operative care, and other nursing support duties.
• Transport specimens, blood products, instruments, and other materials throughout the surgical department.
• Assist with case cart preparation, sterile supply inspection, and operating room setup.
• Operate and maintain Steris equipment and support equipment room organization.
• Perform clerical duties including answering phones, updating schedules, maintaining surgical documentation, and processing department records.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized surgical environment while supporting the perioperative team.
• Other duties as assigned.Â

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 3 months of direct patient care experience, required.
- One (1) year of patient care experience, preferred.
- Previous experience in a hospital or acute care setting, preferred.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology, required.

COMPENSATION:
- Pay Range: $17.00 - $27.12 per hour.
- Shift, Weekend, and Holiday Differential Pay Where Applicable
