Summary: 

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fire Maintenance Coordinator to join our growing team at LG Energy Solution Michigan, Inc. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining fire protection system maintenance programs to ensure optimal safety and compliance with relevant codes and standards. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, project management skills, and a commitment to ensuring the highest levels of fire protection in various environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and schedule maintenance activities for fire system maintenance and inspections, including fire pumps, sprinkler systems, fire alarms and suppression systems.
  • Coordinate maintenance schedule with Production, Contractors and Maintenance personnel to minimize production interruption.
  • Monitor preventive maintenance programs and ensure work orders are completed on time. 
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with applicable fire code, safety regulations and company procedures.
  • Analyze equipment performance and maintenance data to identify trends and recommend reliability improvements.
  • Identify required spare parts and coordinate with procurement to ensure material availability.
  • Review inspection reports and ensure corrective actions for identified deficiencies are completed.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment history, and documentation.
  • Participate in shutdown planning, turnaround activities, and emergency maintenance planning.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and safety teams to improve fire protection system reliability.
  • Support audits, inspections, and regulatory compliance activities.
     Provide technical support and guidance to project teams.
  • Perform field verification for fire protection conditions and assist with punch walks
  • Stay updated on industry trends, advancements, and changes in fire protection codes.
  • Supervise Fire Safety team members with assigned activities
  • Participate in fire protection construction observation visits.
  • Engage in fire prevention duties as assigned.



Qualifications:

  • Diploma, Associate's Degree, or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, Fire Protection Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of maintenance planning experience, preferably involving fire protection systems, industrial maintenance, installation, services, inspecting, or combination.
  • Knowledge of fire protection equipment, maintenance planning, and preventive maintenance practices.
  • Familiarity with NFPA standards, OSHA regulations, and local fire safety codes.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and communication skills.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings, P&IDs, and technical manuals.
