Through experienced leadership, proven operational processes, and advanced technology, LINC delivers warehousing, transportation, inventory management, sequencing, and value-added logistics services for some of the world's largest manufacturers.

This position is based in Lake Orion, Michigan, supporting General Motors operations within a high-volume warehouse environment focused on pick and pack, sequencing, inventory management, and material flow. We are seeking a hands-on Materials Supervisor to lead daily inventory and material movement activities while ensuring customer production requirements are met safely, efficiently, and accurately.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily material handling, inventory control, and warehouse operations
  • Ensure materials are available and delivered to support customer production schedules
  • Lead a team of hourly associates responsible for receiving, storage, sequencing, picking, packing, and material movement
  • Monitor inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and process compliance
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, shortages, and material flow issues
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound material movement to meet customer requirements
  • Track operational KPIs related to inventory accuracy, productivity, quality, and safety
  • Ensure compliance with customer requirements, company policies, and safety standards
  • Develop work schedules and support daily labor planning activities
  • Provide employee coaching, training, performance management, and accountability
  • Communicate operational updates, concerns, and production impacts to management
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, inventory accuracy, and customer service
  • Maintain accurate reporting and inventory documentation
  • Partner with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, and Customer teams to support overall facility performance

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of leadership experience in warehousing, logistics, materials management, manufacturing, or supply chain operations
  • Previous experience overseeing inventory, material flow, or warehouse operations
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control, cycle counting, sequencing, and material handling processes
  • Experience supporting high-volume manufacturing or automotive operations preferred
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced operational environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and warehouse management systems
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining customer service expectations
  • Continuous improvement mindset focused on safety, quality, and operational performance
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
