Job DetailsJob Location: LaVergne, TN - La Vergne, TN 37086Billing Clerk 2nd Shift 2:30pm - 11:00pm  Anchor Fabrication, LLC, a precision metal fabrication company located in LaVergne, Tennessee is seeking experienced Billing Clerk for our 2nd shift.  Position Summary The Billing Clerk I supports shipping, production, and maintenance operations by maintaining accurate inventory and billing records in both electronic and paper systems. This position records material receipts, issues, and transfers; conducts routine cycle counts; resolves billing discrepancies; and prepares materials for shipment. The Billing Clerk I must follow established billing, inventory-control, quality, and safety procedures. The role also requires operating electric- and propane-powered industrial vehicles, including tow motors. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Receive incoming shipments, verify materials and quantities, process receipts, and place materials in the appropriate storage bins. Enter receipt, issue, transfer, billing, and inventory transactions accurately and promptly into the computer system. Review open-order reports, pick lists, and tags to identify and prepare materials for shipment. Conduct cycle counts as required and maintain accurate inventory records for assigned areas. Investigate and resolve inventory and billing discrepancies. Maintain complete, accurate, and timely reports and supporting documentation. Perform required inspections and measurements according to established procedures. Identify and report nonconforming products. This position has the authority and responsibility to escalate quality concerns. Operate electric- and propane-powered industrial vehicles safely and in accordance with company procedures. Follow all applicable safety rules, work instructions, quality requirements, and Billing Clerk procedures. Perform other related duties as assigned. Accountability The Billing Clerk I is accountable for: Producing timely, complete, and accurate reports and records. Performing required inspections and measurements correctly. Maintaining accurate inventory and billing transactions. Meeting established safety-performance expectations. Promptly reporting product, inventory, billing, and safety concerns.   Required Qualifications Strong mechanical aptitude. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Ability to organize priorities and work effectively under schedule demands. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Basic computer proficiency and the ability to learn inventory or billing software. Ability to read precision measuring instruments. Ability to read and interpret specifications, work instructions, reports, and shipping documents. Ability to work independently under general supervision and collaboratively with other departments. Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in billing, shipping, receiving, inventory control, warehousing, or manufacturing is preferred. Experience operating powered industrial vehicles is preferred. Language Skills Ability to read, write, and understand work-related information in English. Ability to prepare clear and accurate reports. Ability to communicate information and respond effectively to questions from supervisors, managers, and coworkers. Mathematical Skills Ability to calculate figures and amounts, including proportions and percentages. Ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical work situations. Ability to compare quantities and identify numerical discrepancies in inventory or billing records. Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems involving multiple variables in situations where limited standardization may exist. Ability to understand instructions provided in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to define problems, collect and review relevant information, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
