Actual pay will be based on various factors, such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, proficiency for the role, and internal equity. In addition to base pay, Kwik Trip gives 40% of pre-tax profits back to our coworkers with bonuses ranging from 8-12% of each coworker’s gross annual wage depending on company profitability and offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, 401k, paid time off, and more.

Systems Engineer II, Active Directory & Microsoft 365

Location: La Crosse, WI | Hybrid (Minimum 50% Onsite)

About the Role

Kwik Trip is seeking a Systems Engineer II to support and optimize our enterprise server and application environments. In this role, you will work both independently and collaboratively to maintain infrastructure, resolve system issues, and support key business initiatives across the organization.

What You’ll Do

  • Design, administer, and support enterprise server and application environments
  • Install, maintain, and optimize servers within a virtualized infrastructure
  • Plan and execute system upgrades, migrations, and implementations
  • Provide second-level support for escalated incidents and technical issues
  • Design, maintain, and support Active Directory forests and domains
  • Manage and administer Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online and SharePoint Online
  • Utilize incident, problem, and change management tools aligned with ITIL processes
  • Monitor system performance and ensure reliability, availability, and scalability
  • Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices
  • Investigate and resolve hardware and software issues in a timely manner
  • Research and recommend hardware and software solutions to support business needs

What We’re Looking For

  • Associate degree in Information Systems, Network Systems Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience supporting server and infrastructure environments, including virtual platforms
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows client and server operating systems
  • Experience administering Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, etc.)
  • Experience with Active Directory and Group Policy management
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Even Better If You Have

  • Experience with Linux server operating systems
  • Experience with automation tools such as Ansible
  • Familiarity with incident management platforms such as ServiceNow or Jira
  • Experience with VMware or other enterprise virtualization platforms
  • Experience with containerization technologies

Work Schedule

Monday through Friday, daytime hours with rotating on-call responsibilities.
Weekend or after-hours work may be required as needed.
