JOB SUMMARY 

The Specialties Warehouse Associate is crucial for maintaining the flow of the warehouse, ensuring that products are handled efficiently, safely, and accurately. They are responsible for maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment, managing inventory, and preparing products for installation. This position requires attention to detail, adherence to safety procedures, and the ability to perform heavy lifting on a regular basis.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

· Load and unload delivery trucks, moving the product by hand or with forklifts.

· Organize stock within the warehouse and ensure areas are kept neat and tidy, including securing glass properly to prevent damage.

· Conduct inventory checks and assist in managing inventory levels to ensure ready availability of products.

· Adhere to all warehousing, handling, and shipping legislation requirements.

· Assist in the preparation of orders for installation, staging goods in a time-efficient manner.

· Maintain safety standards by following policies and procedures and wearing protective equipment as required.

· Collaborate with the operations team to meet and exceed business goals.

· Respect and uphold standards of confidentiality and professionalism within the workspace.

· Regular and reliable attendance.

· Work effectively in a team environment.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company guidelines, policies and procedures, and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. · High school diploma or equivalent required

· Experience working in a warehouse environment, particularly with heavy items such as glass.

· Forklift certification is a plus.

· Basic understanding of warehouse procedures and safety measures.
