Human Resources Director
Salary: $175,000–$200,000 annually

Noo-Kayet Investments (NKI), the economic development arm of the Port Gamble S'Klallam Tribe, is looking for an experienced and people-focused Human Resources Director to lead our HR strategy!

Reporting directly to the CEO, this position oversees human resources across NKI's diverse portfolio, including The Point Casino & Hotel, S'Klallam Meat & Seafood, Minder Meats, High Point Cannabis, Gliding Eagle Market, fuel operations, and commercial real estate.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Lead recruitment, retention, compensation, benefits, employee relations, and performance management.
  • Develop HR strategies that strengthen employee engagement and organizational success.
  • Coach and develop a high-performing HR team.
  • Review and improve HR policies, procedures, and compliance practices.
  • Advance Tribal Member employment, development, and career-growth opportunities.
  • Lead succession planning and HR integration for new enterprises.
  • Build strong relationships with leadership, Tribal Government, the NKI Board, and Tribal agencies.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • At least five years of HR management experience.
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification, or the ability to obtain it within six months.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, compensation, benefits, recruitment, and employee relations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Class III Gaming License.

An MBA, J.D., graduate degree, THRP certification, or Tribal enterprise experience is preferred.

This is an on-site position requiring local and regional travel, with occasional out-of-state travel.

NKI exercises Tribal Preference in accordance with its Tribal Preference Policy.
