We are seeking a Safety Coordinator for our composting and mushroom farming facilities located in Kennett Square, PA . The successful candidate will assist the Safety Department in conducting the day-to-day safety activities, minimizing the risk of job-related accidents.Ā
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
⢠Full-time Loader / Forklift / Pallet Jack operator trainerĀ
⢠Full-time new hire Safety Orientation facilitatorĀ
⢠Chemical management organizer and Haz Com / GHS coordinatorĀ
⢠LOTO / Confined Space / Haz Com safety trainerĀ
⢠Safety inspector and STOP Observation facilitatorĀ
⢠Coordinate and perform all EHS required trainings within the companyĀ
⢠Develop and enforce OSHA guidelines, policies, and requirementsĀ
⢠Ensure monthly departmental safety training is completedĀ
⢠Directing accident investigation proceduresĀ
⢠Intervene in unsafe activities or operationsĀ
⢠Maintain records of safety related incidents and propose corrective actionsĀ
⢠Supporting and facilitating the development of safe work procedures and standard operating procedures
⢠Conducting regular site safety inspections, creating + communicating action plans to applicable stake holders / applicable operational personnel
⢠Coordinating and facilitating regular safety meetings
⢠Supporting in achieving and maintainingĀ
⢠Safety meeting translator and interpreter.
REQUIREMENTS
⢠Driver's License required;
⢠Bilingual - ability to read, comprehend, and communicate in English and Spanish is required.
⢠3+ years of experience required, preferably in a food production or agricultural environment
⢠Good listening and communication skills needed.
⢠Willingness to assist employees with safety issues and/or concerns.
⢠Computer skills needed (Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point).
⢠Verbal and written communication skills required.
⢠Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Occupational Health & Safety
⢠Occupational First Aid certification
SKILLS
Loader / Forklift / Pallet Jack trainer certification preferred
