We are looking for an adaptable candidate with previous bartending/food service experience and great customer service skills to join our team here at Atwell Suites KCI!

Primary Bartending Duties and Responsibilities:
- Use great customer service skills by greeting guests pleasantly as they approach the bar, taking and preparing their orders promptly, and creating an overall friendly interaction. Â
- Prepare beverages as requested using established pouring standards and drink recipes to provide a consistent product to the guests and to control costs.Â
- Accurately process all cash and credit card transactions using established procedures.
- Check guest identification in accordance with federal law.
- Follow established Hotel safety protocols and procedures at all times; immediately report any safety/service incident to the supervisor or manager on duty.
- Set up the bar accurately and efficiently with all liquor, mixers, ice, garnishes, glassware, and supplies.Â
- Ensure that all liquor is properly secured before, during, and after every shift.
Primary Cook Duties and Responsibilities:
- Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment.
- Prepare ingredients to use in cooking; check the quality of ingredients prior to use.
- Cook food with various utensils or grillers; check food while cooking to stir or turn.
- Follow proper procedures in handling food to ensure health and sanitation guidelines are met.
- Assist in unloading trucks that arrive with supplies; store and rotate inventory.
- Clean work area, freezers, kitchen area, and dish area to ensure proper cleanliness is maintained; keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen.
- Demonstrate a professional and pleasant demeanor when interacting with visitors, vendors, and associates.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- 1 year of experience in a similar bartending, food service, kitchen, and/or line cook role is preferred.
- Some experience in a customer service role is preferred.
- Must be 21 years or older!
Pay: $17.00/hour, plus tips
