As a Group Facilitator, you will lead therapeutic group sessions for children and adolescents, helping participants develop skills, process challenges, and work toward treatment goals in a safe and supportive setting. You will prepare and facilitate structured group activities, collaborate with treatment teams, document client progress, and contribute to a positive treatment experience that supports recovery and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate engaging therapeutic group sessions for children and adolescents that support treatment goals and encourage personal growth.
  • Create a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment where participants feel comfortable sharing experiences and developing new skills.
  • Lead group discussions, activities, and interventions designed to promote positive behavioral health outcomes.
  • Encourage active participation and meaningful engagement from all group members.
  • Prepare session plans and review client information to ensure appropriate and effective group facilitation.
  • Manage group dynamics by establishing boundaries, promoting respect, and addressing conflicts appropriately.
  • Document session activities, participant engagement, progress, and notable concerns in a timely manner.
  • Evaluate group effectiveness and identify opportunities to strengthen client outcomes.
  • Collaborate and communicate with treatment team members regarding client progress and care needs.
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with all applicable privacy, documentation, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities to enhance clinical and facilitation skills.

Education, Experience, and/or Credential Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Psychiatric Nursing, or a related field preferred.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced behavioral health setting.
