Front of House Clerk

Location: On-Site - Must currently reside on Oʻahu and be available for in-person interviews and immediate hire.

Schedule: Full-time; open availability including weekends and holidays is required.

Position Summary

The FOH Hospitality Clerk is responsible for creating a warm, welcoming, and memorable experience for every guest at Aunty Pat’s Cafe. This position serves as a positive and attentive presence throughout the guest experience, anticipating needs, providing genuine service, and helping create an environment where guests feel cared for and valued. The Hospitality Clerk supports this experience through cashier, expo, stocking, and other Front of House responsibilities, working as a team to ensure the café operates with efficiency, cleanliness, and aloha.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide warm, friendly, and attentive hospitality to guests throughout their experience at Aunty Pat’s Cafe.
• Accurately process guest payments and operate the cash register while following company policies and procedures.
• Assist with food and beverage services, including organizing, preparing, and delivering orders to guests.
• Support expo operations by ensuring orders are accurate, complete, organized, and presented appropriately.
• Maintain adequate stock of food, beverages, supplies, and service items to support daily operations.
• Assist with cleaning and maintaining FOH areas, equipment, and shared spaces to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
• Maintain knowledge of the cafe menu and food and beverage offerings.
• Communicate effectively with team members and assist where needed to support smooth and efficient operations.
• Follow established procedures, safety standards, and service expectations.
• Maintain a positive, professional, and team-oriented attitude in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of food and beverage operations.
• Ability to accurately handle money, operate a cash register, and perform basic math calculations.
• Ability to follow established procedures and work with attention to detail.
• Basic understanding of food preparation procedures.
• Strong hospitality skills with the ability to engage positively with guests in a cafe setting.
• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays, as needed. 

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous food and beverage experience.
• Food Handler or ServSafe Certification.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds. 
• Ability to frequently bend, reach, and stock supplies.
• Manual dexterity to operate POS equipment.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
