About the RoleĀ Ā 

The RMEP-T (Technician/Inventory Management) is an on-site role that reports to regional orĀ  site management, with dotted-line oversight from the Regional RMEP (RPLNR). This role isĀ  responsible for executing repeatable, high-volume inventory management activities and otherĀ  RPLNR-directed deliverables for the assigned site or sub-region.The RPLNR retains ownershipĀ  of all judgment-intensive, planning-curation, and stakeholder-facing responsibilities.Ā Ā Ā 

The RMEP-T will continue to support site technician work order completion in their capacity as aĀ  Mechatronics & Robotics Technician (MRT) or Senior Mechatronics & Robotics TechnicianĀ  (SMRT), with approximately 50% of their working time dedicated to technician responsibilities.Ā Ā Ā 

In addition, the RMEP-T will remain eligible for overtime, when business needs require it and asĀ  approved by the site or regional management in coordination with the RPLNR.Ā Ā Ā 

As a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician (MRT) or Senior Mechatronics & Robotics TechnicianĀ  (SMRT), you will use your skills to support the Operations Maintenance Team repairing andĀ  maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building. YouĀ  will have the opportunity to install, maintain and repair automated packaging and distributionĀ  equipment and provide operational support to aid in the smooth running of the sites.Ā Ā Ā 

Key Responsibilities:Ā Ā Ā 

ļ‚· Safety: Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.Ā Ā Ā 

ļ‚· Maintenance: Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation.Ā  Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all Material HandlingĀ  Equipment (MHE) which includes belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays, and more.Ā Ā Ā 

ļ‚· Monitoring: Create, assign, and close out work order with data including labor hours,Ā  equipment maintenance, and parts used. Track and store department inventory.Ā Ā Ā 

ļ‚· Support: Mentor junior technicians to grow in their roles.Ā Ā

ļ‚· Communication: Maintain positive working relationships across all of the OperationsĀ  facility.Ā Ā Ā 

ļ‚· RMEP Support: Vendor management assistance, inventory control activities, situationalĀ  procurement support and project support for asset and building management asĀ  described below under RMEP-T deliverable (Inventory Pathway).Ā Ā Ā 

Basic Qualifications:Ā Ā 

ļ‚· High school diploma or equivalent.Ā Ā Ā 

ļ‚· 2+ years of experience in the repair of material handling equipment (MHE) or automatedĀ  conveyor systems and controls.Ā Ā Ā 

ļ‚· 2+ years of experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures.Ā  ļ‚· 1+ years of blueprint and electrical schematic reading.Ā Ā Ā 

ļ‚· 1+ years of knowledge with electrical and electronic principles.Ā Ā Ā 

ļ‚· Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).Ā Ā Ā 

ļ‚· Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project, with the ability to createĀ  and manage documents effectively.Ā Ā Ā 

ļ‚· Detail orientation and structured work approach requiredĀ Ā Ā 

ļ‚· Ability to work flexible schedules/shifts.Ā Ā Ā 

Preferred Qualifications:Ā Ā 

ļ‚· Associates or higher degree from a vocational school or college with a focus onĀ  Mechanical or Electrical field.Ā Ā Ā 

ļ‚· Experience with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) safety standards accordance withĀ  Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and Safety standards.Ā Ā Ā 

ļ‚· Experience with robotic operation and maintenance.Ā Ā Ā 

ļ‚· Able to troubleshoot basic input and output functions.Ā Ā Ā 

Physical Demands:Ā Ā 

ļ‚· Must have ability to reach overhead, kneel, squat, climb steps/ladders, use an aerial lift,Ā  and frequently lift a maximum of 50 lbs. of equipment.Ā Ā Ā 

ļ‚· Ability to perform tasks wearing appropriate or required Personal Protective EquipmentĀ  (PPE), which may include but is not limited to hard hat, face mask, face shield, andĀ  composite toe shoes.Ā Ā Ā 

ļ‚· Regularly required to crouch or bend and reach to install/move equipment.Ā Ā

ļ‚· Work in a warehouse environment with fluctuating temperatures.Ā Ā Ā 

ļ‚· Work using computer systems and able to work at a desk in front of a computer screenĀ  for extended periods through the course of the day as required.Ā Ā Ā

ļ‚· Receive inbound parts and check into APM within 48 hours; tag with date, APN, binĀ  numberĀ Ā Ā 

ļ‚· Execute weekly cycle counts to achieve % Store Counted ≄7.7% (Green)Ā  ļ‚· Maintain shelf/bin labeling per Central Team standard (per LGB7 Inventory ManagementĀ  SOP)Ā Ā Ā 

ļ‚· Maintain spare-parts cage area to 5S / AO Readiness standardsĀ Ā Ā 

ļ‚· Execute daily kitting; return 21-day-aged kits to inventoryĀ Ā Ā 

ļ‚· Stage parts for DTW windows; submit PTRs / over-max escalation via RMEPĀ  ļ‚· Submit warranty claims within 5 business days; record vendor informationĀ  ļ‚· Process RMAs — receive, store, update claim status in APM weeklyĀ Ā Ā 

ļ‚· Execute AR KIVA RMA biweekly per KIVA RMA SOPĀ Ā Ā 

ļ‚· Aged PO first-pass data pull (>90 days); refresh supplier due dates in CoupaĀ  ļ‚· Verify POC on all site POs in CoupaĀ Ā Ā 

ļ‚· NPI parts put-away to 100% with labeling; verify RSPLs in system prior to deliveryĀ  ļ‚· Parts cage 5S - weeklyĀ Ā Ā
