Facilities Maintenance Support

Job Overview

Provide maintenance support for all BHCCU branches and locations.  Assist in a variety of tasks to ensure all BHCCU facilities are maintained to acceptable levels for our members and employees. Ensure facilities comply with all federal and state regulations.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

• Follow processes and procedures established to ensure compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA). Complete required, annual BSA training to ensure you understand your responsibilities that apply to BSA, including:

• Having an understanding ofall BHCCU’s policies and procedures, as well as all rules andregulationwhich pertain to BSA

• Responsible for the installation and maintenance of a variety of electrical, mechanical,plumbing,HVAC,andcurrencyequipment.
• Assist in projects, including but not limited to furniture assembly, painting, landscaping, recycling, and power washing.
• May require work outside of normal business hours, including meeting vendors, responding to alarm calls and other emergencies.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS and COMPETENCIES

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma/GEDor an equivalent level of knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through work experience.
• Five years of previousexperiencein building and facilities maintenance, carpentry, or other related work.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft productsas well asdatabase, and ticketingexperience.

COMPETENCIES

• Ability to multitask, troubleshootand prioritize.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Pass the pre-employment drug test and background check.

OTHER (PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND VISUAL SKILLS)

Physical Job Requirements

Frequent periods are spent standing or sitting in the same location with some opportunity to move about; occasionally there may be a need to stoop, crouch, crawl, climb or lift objects (up to 50 pounds).

• Ability tointeract andcommunicate with a diverse membership and employee group.
• Ability to accomplishassigned tasksusingtools, powered equipment,computers,and technology.

• Ability to work in a changing,challenging,and fast paced work environment.
• Ability to respond to afterhours emergencies as needed. 
• Valid driver’s license and reliabletransportation.
• Flexibility in work schedule to ensure completion of assigned tasks.

Environmental Job Requirements

Typically located in a comfortable, quiet indoor area. There may be regular exposure to mild physical discomfort from factors such as dust, fumes or odors, temperature extremes, strong drafts, or bright lights.
