Job DetailsJob Location: Jamestown, CA 95327Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $60,000.00 - $60,000.00 SalaryJob Shift: GraveyardSecurity Shift Supervisor Position Summary As Team members of the Security team, Security Shift Supervisors are CRCR Ambassadors and take personal ownership to ensure their actions are in the best interest of the business. Security Shift Supervisors are responsible for promoting safety and security throughout the property while verbally and/or physically interacting with Guests, Team Members, and vendors. Their role plays a pivotal part in helping manage and supervise CRCR security functions and Team Members. Position Functions Essential Functions: • Provide exceptional Guest service while maintaining a positive attitude. • Support and motivate Team Members while ensuring team responsibilities are performed according to established departmental standards. • Supervise the daily activities of the Security team on an assigned shift while assigning work. • Ensure all Team Members adhere to business policies and procedures, ensuring compliance. • Ensure identification checks are conducted on all individuals. • Assist with safeguarding assets. • Review and edit incident logs and reports of Officers and EMTs. • Monitor and enforce radio etiquette and procedures. • Circulate among Guests, visitors, and Team Members to preserve order and protect property. • Disseminate information and conduct pre-shift training for the Security team prior to assuming posts. • Communicate emergency procedures. • Supervise and ensure the conduct of patrols, controlled entry, and crowd control. • Ensure assigned areas are monitored for unusual activities, approach and discourage loiterers and panhandlers. • Dispel tense situations using verbal de-escalation skills. • Ensure departmental procedures regarding emergency notifications are followed. • Answer alarms and investigate disturbances. • Effectively communicate information and respond to questions from Guests and management. • Conduct certification training for Team Members utilizing various Red Cross training programs. • Direct Team Members in CRCR activities and security functions, utilizing knowledge of established policies, procedures, and practices. • Conduct Citizen Arrests and/or expulsion of disruptive individuals from CRCR property. • Safely drive assigned motor vehicles to transport individuals to and from locations. • Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. • Oversee and assist with maintaining positive control of assigned keys. • Effectively utilize radio communication systems and departmental codes and call signs. • Be able to adhere to objectivity and exercise sound independent judgment and emotional control. • Perform all duties of a Security Officer I or II, as necessary. • Report daily activities directly to the Director of Security and/or Security Manager. • Other duties as assigned. Core Shift Supervisor Competencies:  • Lead and manage people and processes while overseeing and directing daily department operations. • Serve as the subject matter expert on departmental processes and procedures. • Assist in recruitment, hiring, training, and Team Member engagement.  • Lead coaching, corrective counseling, and performance evaluations to Leads and Team Members.  • Set and oversee objectives and development for Leads and Team Members. • Develop and adjust schedules to align with business requirements. • Assist with employment terminations exclusively under the guidance and oversight of department management. Skills • Demonstrate strong listening and communication skills. • Demonstrate problem-solving and critical thinking. • Must be able to work independently and maintain a high level of performance. • Must be able to complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner while maintaining business standards.  • Demonstrate a flock mentality, focused on teamwork and collaboration with others. • Provide exceptional service to internal and external Guests while leveraging the knowledge of the position and the business, ensuring a clucktastic experience for all.  • Stay engaged and motivated with the business, department, and all Team Members at all levels while encouraging growth and development of self and others.  • Build lasting relationships by demonstrating honesty, integrity, and effective communication. • Drive to exceed expectations while remaining accountable and fair. • Be able to duck, dip, dive and dodge flying chickens with flair. Qualifications Minimum Requirements: • Must be at least 21 years of age. • High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate). • 1+ years in a Security role. • Must have a valid CA driver's license and clean driving record. • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid CPR AED and First Aid certification (provided by CRCR). • Must attend a defensive techniques training course (provided by CRCR). • Must pass the proficiency evaluation in physical/manipulation abilities (provided by CRCR). • Must pass a departmental physical fitness test and maintain standards bi-annually.  • Knowledge of de-escalation and self-defense techniques.  • Knowledge of verbal dispute-resolution techniques. • Basic anatomy knowledge and knowledge of pressure point compliance techniques. • Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office Suite.   Preferred Qualifications:  • 3+ years in a Security role. • 1+ years in a Lead or Supervisory role. • Associate degree in a Security related field. • CA state BSIS Guard Card. • CLSO (certified lodging security officer), PSC (Physical Security Certification), and/or CPO (Certified Protection Officer) certifications. Disclaimer This document is for informational purposes only.
