Blevins, Inc. is currently seeking a Store Clerk at our Jacksonville, FLÂ branch location. The candidate will be cross trained in other areas. Computer knowledge a must to enter customer orders. Experience in the wholesale industry is a plus. This is an entry level position that could lead to future advancement opportunities within Blevins, Inc.

The Store Clerk plays a key role in supporting daily storefront and warehouse operations, including running the front counter within the warehouse, providing excellent customer service, processing customer orders and sales transactions, pulling and preparing orders, assisting with inventory, and supporting shipping and receiving activities.
The ideal candidate is dependable, customer-focused, safety-minded, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse and distribution environment.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Front Counter Sales
- Assist customers at the front counter with product selection, pricing, availability, and order processing.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and resolving customer concerns professionally.
- Enter and process customer orders accurately using company computer systems.
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers.
Order Fulfillment & Warehouse Operations
- Pull, stage, and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Verify orders for accuracy before customer pickup or shipment.
- Load and unload company and customer vehicles safely.
- Assist with receiving, stocking, and putting away merchandise.
- Report inventory, order, or warehouse issues to management promptly.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness throughout the warehouse and sales counter areas.
Forklift & Material Handling
- Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Obtain and maintain forklift certification as required.
- Follow all company safety procedures and applicable safety requirements.
Shipping & Inventory
- Assist with receiving, stocking, shipping, and inventory management activities.
- Support inventory accuracy through cycle counts and inventory-control procedures.
- Prepare and process outbound shipments according to company procedures.
- Assist with maintaining accurate product quantities and storage locations.
Sales Support & Communication
- Complete outbound customer calls for order follow-up, sales support, and customer service initiatives.
- Assist customers with order status, product availability, and problem resolution.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse personnel, drivers, sales staff, and management.
- Coordinate with team members to ensure customer orders are completed accurately and on time.
Problem Solving
- Identify and assist with resolving customer concerns, shipping discrepancies, and inventory issues.
- Demonstrate initiative and sound judgment when handling day-to-day operational challenges.
- Support continuous improvement efforts to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous customer service, retail, warehouse, distribution, or wholesale experience preferred.
- Basic computer knowledge and ability to accurately enter and process customer orders.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
