Job Title: Staff Experience Coordinator

Objective
This role is responsible for administrative support across the Human Resources ministry, including onboarding, offboarding, staff member changes, recruiting coordination and benefits administration. The Staff Experience Coordinator partners with the HR Ministry team to support consistent and effective HR operations across the ministry.
Key Responsibilities
- ​​Maintain an authentic and growing walk with Jesus Christ through the ongoing spiritual disciplines of Bible reading, prayer, personal worship, fasting, confession and fellowship
- Serve as trained backup to the HR Coordinator across the staff member lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding and staff member changes, providing full coverage during absences, leaves and peak seasons
- Prepare and process new hire documentation, including offer paperwork, I-9 and E-Verify completion, background screening and first-day system setup
- Enter and maintain accurate staff member records in the HRIS; audit data regularly for accuracy, completeness and compliance with recordkeeping and retention requirements
- Process staff member changes such as transfers, title and department changes, compensation adjustments and terminations, routing required approvals and confirming downstream system updates
- Coordinate offboarding logistics, including exit paperwork, final pay coordination, equipment returns and removal of system and building access
- Maintain electronic staff files and HR documentation with a high standard of organization and confidentiality
- Respond to routine staff member questions regarding HR policies, procedures and systems, escalating complex or sensitive matters to the appropriate HR team member
- Prepare employment verifications, unemployment claim responses and routine HR correspondence
- Serve as trained backup to the Recruiting Coordinator and provide extended coverage during planned leaves, including posting requisitions, screening for basic qualifications and maintaining the applicant tracking system
- Coordinate interview logistics for candidates and hiring managers, including scheduling, confirmations, hospitality and candidate communication throughout the process
- Support pre-employment steps such as reference checks, background screening and offer letter preparation
- Track requisition status and provide regular recruiting updates and reports to HR leadership and hiring managers
- Assist the Staff Experience Ministry Partner with the administrative side of benefits, including new hire enrollments, qualifying life event changes and terminations of coverage in the HRIS and carrier portals
- Support open enrollment logistics, including staff communications, meeting scheduling, materials preparation, enrollment tracking and post-enrollment audits
- Assist with leave of absence administration by preparing paperwork, tracking documentation and maintaining accurate records
- Provide general administrative support to the HR ministry team, including calendar coordination, purchasing, expense reporting, job description and meeting preparation
- Coordinate contractor onboarding, including required documentation, background screening, system setup and communication of onboarding requirements

Education and Experience
- Associate's or bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration or a related field preferred
- One to three years of administrative experience supporting a Human Resources team
- Experience with an HRIS required; Paycor experience strongly preferred
- Experience with an applicant tracking system preferred
- Working knowledge of general employment practices, confidentiality expectations and HR recordkeeping requirements required
Expected Hours of Work
Work Hours Expectations: 40 hours or more.
Schedule Expectations: Monday through Friday (hours may vary based on church needs to include working weekends).
The church has several big events (“All-Skates”) throughout the year to help further the mission of Eleven22. These events are mandatory for all staff to be in attendance and may vary, depending on the vision cast for the current year.

Work Environment/Physical Demands
This position operates in a professional office environment on a church campus and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, copiers and scanners. This role is largely sedentary and requires extended periods of sitting and computer work, with regular movement between offices and campus buildings. The staff member must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds occasionally when preparing new-hire workstations, staff event materials and enrollment or onboarding supplies. Occasional evening and weekend hours are required to support services, staff events, open enrollment meetings and churchwide All-Skate events.Â
Ministerial Exception
The ministerial exception furthers the purposes of the Free Exercise and Establishment Clauses of the First Amendment by barring legal claims against church bodies by staff members who perform religious functions. All church pastors are subject to the exception, but a formal ministerial credential is not required. While there is no rigid formula to determine other church staff members that qualify, various factors are considered to determine which staff members are subject to the ministerial exception (please see handbook).
