Job Overview: 

The Kraft Heinz Company is currently seeking a Plant Digital Technician to work at our food processing facility in Jacksonville, FL! Successful candidates must be willing to supply improvements, suggestions, and ideas to help continue the success of our facility. Under the direction of the Packing Manager, the Plant Digital Technician will be expected to understand and provide leadership to improve and maintain plant digital systems and databases by performing the following:

  • Troubleshooting and maintaining of plant digital systems including Connected Worker, St1, Power BI reporting, Tableau Reporting, AI reporting, Power Automate, and future digital systems as needed.

  • Assist and collaborate with IT to determine system improvements and implementation for the Jacksonville plant.

  •  Building and refining dashboards for plant specific data collection.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Understand and apply KHMS (Kraft Heinz Management System) practices such as 5S, centerline management, shift hand-offs, operational standard ownership/support, problem solving, etc. Maintains Kraft quality standards by using KHMS guidelines

  • Enhance the Jacksonville facility’s digital systems/solutions. Work with CI, production, maintenance, management, and equipment operators to improve the plant’s digital systems and controls, including:

  • Help to define and improve our internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices for a high-scale data infrastructure:

  • Expand our data warehouse with clean data ready for analysis

  • Installation and setup CWP on tablet

  • Able to train CWP on the floor level to ensure the system is fully adapted 

  • Understand and troubleshoot complex system faults and programmable control

  • Small analytics project delivery including initiation, planning, scope, budget and change request management

  • Implement disruptive technologies (Tableau, Power BI, SQL, Python) focused on fundamentally transforming the way in which we operate

  • Serve as an integral part of the Digital Revolution

  • Continue to develop your skills by staying up to date on all the latest innovations and evolutions in the Business Intelligence community

  • Support and promote local system (AI, PI, MPI, ST-1) processes and implementation of new or improved quality system programs

  • Support QRMP and KHMS Implementation and Maintenance

  • Set up CWP in plant wide and support CWP Implementation and Maintenance

  • Document Control through eQCMS

  • Management of AI, PI, MPI and ST-1 to ensure function accurately day to day and assist with formula and function update 

  • Management of CWP system and lead the conversion of paper documents (CIL, CL, 5S, Defect tags) to paperless format

  • Management of SAP systems including setting up new products and maintaining current specifications

  • PC & Software Configuration and maintenance including eQCMS and SAP

  • Configure Net Content Specifications

  • It is the responsibility of all employees to adhere to all site rules, and to adhere to all ways of working, and processes and procedures within that role

  • Perform Statistical Analysis of Data

  • Other duties as assigned or required; may include any quality or sanitation function needed to meet current or future business needs

  • Conform to Kraft Heinz Foods Company, Inc., Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) and perform area housekeeping duties.

  • Perform all work in a safe and efficient manner consistent with lockout/tag out, hot work, fall protection, and other OSHA regulations.

  • Provide leadership in Failure Analysis to determine root causes of reoccurring failures. 

  • Provide leadership to increase OEE for Kraft Heinz Company, Jacksonville.

Accountable for the Safety, Health and Environmental systems and operational standards to ensure compliance as is outlined in our policies/procedures and processes. Must report and/or correct unsafe acts or conditions as well as perform work safely, including following GMP and PPE guidelines.

Strong knowledge in:

a. Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft office suite, SAP 

b. Standard mathematical & statistical skills, as well as an ability to perform accurate work and attention to detail

c. Experience developing dashboards, reports, and scorecards with a strong user interface

d. SQL/ database fundamentals and coding experience is a plus

e. Understanding of PLC logic and having basic knowledge of PLC programming

f.  SAP, Microsoft Word, Excel and e-mail, and technical writing skills

Must have the ability to:

a. Lead and participate in plant problem solving teams

b. Apply problem-solving techniques & train others in problem solving/troubleshooting of digital systems

c. Communicate technical information efficiently and effectively with all levels of management and plant personnel

d. Demonstrate leadership in continuous improvement

e. Learn SQL/Database infrastructure and basic SQL coding skills

Physical Requirements:  

• Performs bending, squatting, kneeling, sorting, ascending, and descending moves up to 50 pounds; holds and grips object; must possess manual dexterity necessary to operate equipment and disassemble and reassemble equipment.

Working Environments:

• Primarily indoors in both a hot, humid production environment and cold, cooler environment.

Education Requirements: 

High School Diploma or equivalent is a must.

Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
