Maintenance Manufacturing LeadershipĀ Program Description:Ā 

The Maintenance Manufacturing Leadership Program isĀ rotationalĀ program focused on technical and leadership training at an Owens Corning manufacturing plant. Participants will be mentored by experienced maintenance and engineering professionals to improve efficiency and develop manufacturing solutions. The program includes opportunities for leadership in a manufacturing environment.Ā 

Duration: The program spans 24 toĀ 30 months.Ā 

Rotations: Participants engage in rotations across various areas:Ā 

  • Maintenance PlanningĀ (6 months):Ā Focused onĀ optimizingĀ maintenance processes and scheduling.Ā 

  • Maintenance Leadership (6 months): Managing daily operations, overseeing maintenance activities and teams, gaining exposure to leadingĀ a departmentĀ & long-term planning.Ā 

  • Reliability EngineeringĀ (6 months): Emphasizes improving equipment reliability and performance.Ā 

  • Capital Project ManagementĀ (6 months): Provides exposure to managing projects related to plant infrastructure and equipment.Ā 

Key Responsibilities:Ā 

  • Engage inĀ preventative maintenance programs and procedures for plant equipment.Ā 

  • Investigate and resolve work in process problems.Ā 

  • Maintain production equipment to meet organizational standards and minimize downtime.Ā 

  • Focus on safety, automation, digitalization, strategic asset management, and data analytics.Ā 

  • Develop skills in safety leadership, project engineering, reliability processes, maintenance planning, and supervisory leadership.Ā 

  • Recommend and implement improvements for operations, equipment, and documentation.Ā 

  • Utilize Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and Total Productive Maintenance methodologies.Ā 

Program Outcome:Ā Upon completion, participants will be placed in a full-time assignment as a Maintenance Supervisor/Leader at a North American Owens Corning manufacturing plant.Ā 

WhatĀ We’reĀ Looking For:Ā An enthusiastic candidate who takes initiative, drives results, and creatively navigates tasks. The ideal candidateĀ demonstratesĀ a desire to develop technical and leadership capabilities in a manufacturing environment.Ā 

Selection Criteria:Ā 

  • AĀ Bachelor’sĀ degree in Ceramic, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials ScienceĀ or relevant major and/or fieldĀ 

  • PreviousĀ internships/co-ops within a glass melting/furnace manufacturing settingĀ 

  • Demonstrated leadership in professional, service, or social organizationsĀ 

  • WillingnessĀ and flexibility toĀ relocateĀ (assistanceĀ provided)Ā

Location of Assignment:Ā 

Participants are based at various manufacturing sites in the US.Ā
