Position Overview
The State of Mississippi is seeking a Client Support Technician to provide on-site and remote end-user IT support for the MDAH network. The technician will troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, and user-access issues while supporting workstations, mobile devices, printers, and Microsoft environments.

Key Responsibilities
  •  Provide on-site and remote technical support to end users. 
  •  Troubleshoot and repair desktop PCs, laptops, printers, monitors, and mobile devices. 
  •  Install, configure, and update Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications. 
  •  Respond to help desk requests through phone, chat, and in-person support. 
  •  Log, track, troubleshoot, and resolve issues using ticketing systems. 
  •  Set up new workstations and support employee onboarding/offboarding. 
  •  Create user accounts and manage appropriate permissions/access. 
  •  Support Azure/Active Directory environments. 
  •  Maintain hardware, software license, and IT supply inventory records. 
  •  Troubleshoot basic DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, and networking issues. 
  •  Escalate complex or network-wide issues to senior system/network administrators. 
  •  Provide excellent customer service with patience, clear communication, and strong problem-solving skills. 
Required Skills
  • 3+ years Windows 11 experience. 
  • 3+ years desktop/notebook support experience. 
  • 3+ years printer support experience. 
  • 3+ years wireless device support experience. 
  •  Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365. 
  •  Basic knowledge of DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP. 
  •  Help desk/service desk and ticketing system experience. 
  •  Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills. 
  •  Ability to work 100% onsite from Day 1. 
Preferred Skills
  • 3+ years Azure/Active Directory experience. 
  • 3+ years PowerShell experience. 
  • CompTIA A+ certification. 
  • CompTIA Network+ certification. 
  •  Microsoft certifications/credentials. 
  •  Experience with endpoint security and mobile device management.
