As a senior member of UVA Health's Lab IT team, you will support the critical laboratory systems, analyzers, middleware platforms, and clinical integrations that enable accurate, timely diagnostic services across a leading academic health system.Ā

The RoleĀ 

As a Senior IT Analyst supporting EMR and Laboratory IT, you will serve as a key contributor supporting the technologies that connect laboratory analyzers, middleware applications, Point-of-Care systems, Blood Bank platforms, and Epic integrations across UVA Health. This role is ideal for a healthcare IT professional who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, supporting critical operations, and participating in large-scale technology implementations.Ā 

In a typical day, you may:Ā 

  • Support laboratory analyzers, automation platforms, and middleware environments.Ā 

  • Build, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory interfaces and system integrations.Ā 

  • Investigate analyzer connectivity, workflow, and data transmission issues.Ā 

  • Provide support for Point-of-Care technologies throughout the health system.Ā 

  • Assist with Blood Bank application support and related laboratory technologies.Ā 

  • Support laboratory desktops, printers, scanners, and associated equipment.Ā 

  • Participate in system upgrades, testing activities, implementations, and go-live support.Ā 

  • Develop and support workflows, configurations, and rules within Data Innovations and related middleware technologies.Ā 

  • Collaborate closely with laboratory leaders, clinicians, vendors, and operational teams to ensure reliable system performance.Ā

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree, or an equivalent combination of accreditation, education and experience required.

Experience: 5+ years relevant professional experience required.

Licensure: None.

Preferred: Knowledge or experience with digital pathology systems, scanners, image-management platforms, workflows, interfaces, or supporting infrastructure.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.

The pay range for this role is $39.77 - $79.54 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
