IT Analyst Senior - EMR Lab IT

The Role 

As a Senior IT Analyst supporting EMR and Laboratory IT, you will serve as a key contributor supporting the technologies that connect laboratory analyzers, middleware applications, Point-of-Care systems, Blood Bank platforms, and Epic integrations across UVA Health. This role is ideal for a healthcare IT professional who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, supporting critical operations, and participating in large-scale technology implementations. 

In a typical day, you may: 

• Support laboratory analyzers, automation platforms, and middleware environments. 

• Build, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory interfaces and system integrations. 

• Investigate analyzer connectivity, workflow, and data transmission issues. 

• Provide support for Point-of-Care technologies throughout the health system. 

• Assist with Blood Bank application support and related laboratory technologies. 

• Support laboratory desktops, printers, scanners, and associated equipment. 

• Participate in system upgrades, testing activities, implementations, and go-live support. 

• Develop and support workflows, configurations, and rules within Data Innovations and related middleware technologies. 

• Collaborate closely with laboratory leaders, clinicians, vendors, and operational teams to ensure reliable system performance.
