Position Summary:

Reef is looking to hire a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk who will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting, bookkeeping, and financial tasks for our development projects based in Southern Utah. This role ensures that financial records are accurate, up to date, and properly documented, supporting the overall financial health of the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Process invoices, payments, and other financial transactions accurately and on time.
  • Respond to vendor, customer, and internal accounting inquiries.
  • Assist with the preparation and submission of draws and related information to all capital sources, including lenders.
  • Assist with tracking and analyzing actual spending against budgeted spending by line item for development projects, including identifying positive and negative variances and potential cost exposures.
  • Assist with the preparation of month-end reporting.
  • Support audits and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures.
  • Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in accounting or finance is preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience in accounting, or accounts payable positions
  • Experience working with accounting software (Lightspeed, NetSuite, Buildium or similar systems) is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple entities and deadlines
  • Professional communication skills when working with vendors and homeowners
