Function in the Job

Job Function

• Operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport materials to customers and company locations
• Safely load, transport, and unload materials, ensuring proper securement of all loads
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and report any issues
• Follow all DOT regulations and company safety policies
• Maintain accurate delivery records and required documentation
• Communicate with dispatch, customers, and operations to ensure timely and accurate deliveries
• Adhere to assigned delivery routes and schedules
• Ensure materials are delivered in good condition and meet customer requirements
• Maintain cleanliness and general condition of assigned vehicle
• Follow all safety procedures while handling materials, including bending, lifting, strapping, and securing loads
• Report accidents, delays, or issues promptly to management
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Environment

Required Skills

• Valid Class A CDL required
• Minimum 1 year of Class A driving experience preferred
• Good motor vehicle record (MVR) required
• Ability to safely operate tractor-trailers and transport materials
• Ability to lift, bend, secure loads, and perform physical job duties
• Strong attention to safety and compliance
• Dependable with strong time management skills
