SENIOR REPORTING ANALYST - IRVINE

Pathway seeks a reporting analyst to add to its growing Monitoring and Reporting team. This role will focus on a range of portfolio monitoring activities and will collaborate closely with multiple internal groups, including the Investment, Marketing, Operations, and Fund Accounting Teams. The Reporting team is responsible for maintaining Pathway’s various databases, analyzing investment performance, monitoring portfolio activity, and generating client reports. Pathway is a leading private market fund-solutions provider, with a team of ~250 individuals globally and more than $95 billion in assets under management.Â
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements of private equity partnerships, including reviewing partnership and portfolio company valuations, cash flows, and investment performance, and identifying trends or issues requiring further analysis.
- Prepare and review client reports, presentations, and other reporting deliverables, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely completion.
- Perform complex ad-hoc reporting, analysis, and research projects in support of internal and external stakeholders.
- Own key aspects of the quarterly performance reporting process, including updating, validating, and reconciling portfolio and investment performance data.
- Partner with the Investment Teams, Marketing, and Client Services to analyze and communicate the performance of Pathway’s portfolios and provide reporting and analytical support for RFPs and other client-related requests.
- Research and resolve complex data integrity exceptions across internal systems and reports, coordinating with relevant teams to identify root causes and implement appropriate solutions.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve the efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of monitoring and reporting processes, including developing enhanced reporting capabilities and tools.
- Support the development and documentation of reporting procedures, controls, and best practices to promote consistency and data integrity across the reporting function.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in private equity reporting, investment management, fund accounting, operations, audit, consulting, or a related field; experience with private equity performance and client reporting strongly preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, business economics, or related field with a record of high academic achievement
- Strong understanding of investments, financial markets, and private equity concepts.
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and writing skills
- Exceptional attention to detail, with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Ability to fit into the firm's culture, which places significant value on teamwork, integrity, strong work ethic, and exceptional client service
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
