ERMĀ is hiring aĀ Biologist - Remote Desktop AnalystĀ CoordinatorĀ to join our Impact Assessment Environmental Clearance team remote, based inĀ Irvine, CA.Ā Ā Ā This position focuses on working closely in collaboration with a larger team of natural resources specialists to provide environmental review and constraints analysis of biological and waters resources for various construction sites for a utility sector client throughout Southern California. This is a full-time (40 hours per week), fixed-term position with a duration of 3 months and the possibility of extension.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Utilize biological and water resource technical and critical thinking skills when conducting desktop reviews for environmental clearance work.
- Perform desktop-based environmental constraints analysis to determine appropriate levels/types of environmental avoidance and minimization measures needed for environmental compliance;
- Complete work assignments in accordance with ERM's management system, format and quality standards.
- Commitment to teamwork and ability to follow established processes and protocols while also confident with identifying process improvements to provide benefit to the client.
- REMOVE: If working in the field, work locations are often remote and requires bio to work independently. Other special status species surveys and monitoring may be required, based on available skills.
- Process Data in Microsoft Excel
- Train and become independently proficient in clientās Work Management Systems.
- Compliance with ERMās rigorous safety program.
- Biologist may also be tasked with conducting desktop constraints analysis using ArcGIS Online.
- Desktop constraint reviews require an understanding of digitally available resource layers and ability to learn quickly in a high-paced environment.
REQUIREMENTS:
- BA/BS or Masterās degree in a natural science discipline.
- 2+ years of field experience in California habitats, or similar (Southern California experience preferred).
- Must be able to obtain clearance through client background check to access online system (upon employment).
- Strongly proficient in computer software including Excel, MS word, and online data management systems.
- Excellent time management and follow-through skills.
- Strong commitment to safety, including following established Health & Safety protocols.
- High level written/verbal communication and organization/analytical skills; experience recording/writing detailed technical data and reports.
- Ability to multi-task, maintains flexibility, and works independently with minimal supervision on projects with expedited deadlines.
- Demonstrated attributes to become a strong consultant ā team player, eagerness to learn and grow, self-starter who takes initiative, versatile, and service-oriented mentality.
- Ability to work safely outdoors in variable weather conditions and on challenging terrain.
- Working knowledge of sub-meter accuracy GPS technologies and map interpretation skills (e.g., NWI, USGS, aerial photography).
- Must have a strong attention to detail in documentation of work.
- Must have strong organizational and communication skills.
- Demonstrated independent and effective problem solving and decision making skills.
- Possess a valid driverās license.

For theāÆBiologist - Remote Desktop AnalystĀ CoordinatorĀ position, theāÆanticipatedāÆannual base pay isāÆ$34.41/hr ā $39.50/hr. Actual pay will depend on factors such as education, experience, skills, location, performance, and business needs. In some cases, pay may fall outside this range. This role may be eligible for bonus payĀ subject to the sole discretion of ERM and its policies and proceduresĀ (casual and fixed term/flex force employees areāÆnot bonusāÆeligible).āÆĀ
