Mi-Tech Tungsten Metal is hiring a Quality Engineer.  The Quality Engineer tackles critical Quality department functions and responsibilities such as return investigations, corrective action requests, system improvements, calibration management, and auditing. The Quality Engineer will be the backup for the Quality Manager as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete 3C and 8D investigations for customer returns, internal requests, and supplier rejects

  • Improve MTTM systems through the PDCA approach

  • Apply lean manufacturing principles to MTTM processes

  • Manage and improve the MTTM calibration system

  • Conduct internal audits, facilitate customer and certification audits, and support or lead supplier on-site audits

Qualifications:

  • 4-year degree in a relevant field plus 3 years’ experience in problem solving, inspection, or auditing OR 2-year degree with 5 years’ experience OR High-school diploma with 7 years’ experience

  • Related experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or inspection environment

  • Independence to complete tasks without micromanagement

  • Past experience completing and writing corrective action or investigation reports - Preferred

  • Past experience auditing or participating in audits - Preferred
