Objective
Develop and refine mechanical product solutions that meet performance, reliability, manufacturability, and customer requirements while supporting the full product development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed 3D models and engineering layouts using Autodesk Inventor while maintaining organized design data through Autodesk Vault.
- Prepare manufacturing drawings, assembly documentation, and detailed component specifications for production use.
- Apply DFM/DFA principles to improve manufacturability, assembly efficiency, serviceability, and overall product performance.
- Perform tolerance analysis and apply GD&T principles to establish functional relationships and dimensional requirements.
- Develop and maintain BOMs, including complex assemblies, while supporting configuration control and engineering change activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience designing mechanical products and equipment for industrial or manufacturing applications.
- Working knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, weldments, machining, and welding processes.
- Ability to collaborate with manufacturing teams to resolve production and fabrication challenges.
- Familiarity with PLC and controls integration within mechanically driven equipment.
- Strong understanding of engineering documentation, revision practices, and product lifecycle processes.
- Ability to interpret technical requirements and translate them into practical engineering solutions.
- Strong analytical, communication, troubleshooting, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
