Engineer will assist in process development, job hazard analysis, and design fixturing, jigs, and tooling; develop work instructions. The PSE will also process deviations and disposition nonconforming material, analyze processes to determine Root Causes and Corrective Actions, support other Continuous Improvement (CI) activities. Additionally, this professional may advise design engineers on Design for Manufacturing (DFM), and program leadership on process capabilities and limitations, and other production-related matters. Work environment will be a hybrid between office environment and industrial manufacturing floor.
Responsibilities
Determine manufacturing operations required for production and develop or revise process work instructions. Provide direct support to the production team during mechanical assembly operations. Assess process safety and integrate risk reduction measures—including PPE—into process design. Design and develop Tooling, Fixturing, and support structures as needed to facilitate assembly operations. Support assembly team when deviations or faults are discovered.
