FBi Buildings is hiring an experienced Construction Foreman / Carpentry Crew Leader to lead construction projects throughout Shelbyville, Greenfield, East Indianapolis, and surrounding Central Indiana communities, with occasional project travel toward the Cincinnati market.

If you're an experienced construction leader who enjoys being in the field, building alongside your crew, and taking ownership of a project from start to finish, we want to talk with you.

We're especially interested in experienced construction foremen, framing foremen, lead carpenters, crew leaders, remodelers, post-frame builders, and former construction business owners who know how to lead people and get quality work done.

Post-frame experience is a plus, but it is not required. Strong residential, commercial, agricultural, framing, carpentry, remodeling, or general construction experience can translate well into this position.

What You'll Do

As a Construction Foreman, you'll be responsible for leading a crew in the field and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to our quality standards.

You'll:

  • Lead and work alongside a construction crew on active job sites
  • Coordinate daily work and keep projects moving on schedule
  • Read and work from construction plans and blueprints
  • Train, coach, and develop crew members
  • Perform and oversee framing, carpentry, exterior construction, and structural building work
  • Manage job-site materials, tools, equipment, and organization
  • Communicate with customers, project managers, and internal teams
  • Identify and solve construction challenges in the field
  • Maintain strong safety and quality standards
  • Take ownership of the project and your crew's performance

  • Ability to read construction plans and understand how buildings go together
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • A dependable, accountable leadership style
  • Willingness to work alongside the crew
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • Ability to travel to job sites throughout the territory, including occasional travel toward Cincinnati
