Our client is located in Indianapolis, IN and they are looking for a Branch Manager to join their team. They are a leading distributor of flooring and flooring installation products, proudly serving the Upper-Midwest and Mountain West. The Branch Manager will be responsible for managing and overseeing all daily operations of our Indianapolis, IN Branch. Secondary function is to provide Regional Manager any requested branch specific information to be reported back to the corporate team.

Essential Functions

  • Manage real-time inventory tracking, optimization, demand forecasting, and stock replenishment.

  • Manage and coordinate the Inbound and Outbound freight.

  • Support with route planning, carrier selection, and last-mile delivery support.

  • Support with necessary warehouse operations in efficiently picking, packing, shipping, and receiving of products.

  • Manage the staff workforce through hiring, onboarding, training, and development of team members.

  • Mentor, train, and supervise a team of warehouse associates, counter sales associates, truck drivers, warehouse leads, and managers.

  • Enforce company safety policies and OSHA regulations within the warehouse.

  • Participate in annual planning, budgeting, and operational forecasting.

Work Experience

  • 6+ years of warehouse, logistics, or distribution center experience, including 2+ years of supervisory and leadership experience.

  • In-depth understanding of a distribution center and/or best practices for warehouse operation.

  • Experience with forklifts and other material handling equipment.
