Position Overview

 

dormakaba is seeking an Accounting Manager – US Lead in Indianapolis, Indiana. The Accounting Manager – US Lead is responsible for leading the accounting function for the United States, overseeing financial close activities, compliance governance, internal and external audits, financial reporting, and accounting process improvements. This role serves as a key partner to business leaders and shared service teams, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and alignment with global accounting standards. 

 

HIRING SALARY RANGE: Base Salary $120,000 - $130,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) What you will do

  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting for North America
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP, IFRS, and corporate reporting requirements, including reporting package submissions and financial statement preparation
  • Partner with shared services, tax, audit, and global finance teams to support statutory reporting, internal controls, and compliance activities
  • Drive accounting process standardization, automation initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts to increase efficiency and effectiveness
  • Support business transformation projects, including ERP implementations, organizational changes, and accounting-related integration activities

 

What we require

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, financial reporting, internal controls, audit processes, and regulatory compliance
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities within a corporate environment
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office applications



What we prefer

  • CPA, MBA, or other relevant advanced certifications
  • Experience leading accounting process improvement, standardization, or system implementation initiatives
  • Working knowledge of SAP, S/4HANA, and emerging AI technologies
  • Experience supporting accounting operations within a manufacturing environment
  • Participation in an Accounting or Financial Leadership Development Program
