Leidos currently has an opening for an experienced Senior Contracts Representative in the Indirect Fires and Force Protection Business Area team within the Defense Sector. This is an exciting opportunity to use your skills and experience to support the research, development, and production of cutting-edge technology to protect our warfighters and country. The selected candidate will support all contract management activities for a diverse portfolio of contracts.
Individual contributor role. The position is based in Huntsville, Alabama with telework available.
Primary Responsibilities
Provide the oversight and evaluation of major proposals; monitor major contracts; be a critical asset in key negotiations; demonstrate ability to resolve multi-faceted and complex contractual/customer issues as they arise; resolve performance issues; identify risks and propose mitigation strategies; guide others through change management; ensure compliance with contractual obligations, regulatory requirements, and Leidos policies; draft clear, concise, and legally sound contracts; effectively review and analyze contract terms to include intellectual property provisions; and develop and maintain excellent customer relationships.
Candidate must be self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision. The candidate must have excellent soft skills for interaction with customers as well as company program teams, contracts, finance, and project control. Prompt responsiveness to internal and customer requirements and deadlines is critical.
Basic Qualifications
- BA degree + 4-8 or more years of relevant experience; or Masters or Juris Doctor degree + 2-6 or more years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of all contract types (e.g., T&M, FFP, and Cost Plus).
- Proven ability to solicit and process complex information and data to solve problems and make sound business decisions.
- Strong interpersonal skills with measured and articulate communication skills; ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers; and proven ability to foster communication and reconcile issues or differences.
- Experience with Teaming Agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements, and other legal instruments a must. Additionally, candidate will have a strong background in Federal Acquisition Regulations, license agreements, and organizational conflict of interest considerations.
- Remote performance may be considered. However, candidate must travel to Huntsville or other alternate locations on a regular basis.
Preferred Qualifications
Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen and preferably possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $73,450.00 - $132,775.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
