Embedded Youth Mental Health Therapist
Full-Time | Exempt | 11-Month Position | Community-Based

What You'll Do
As an Embedded Youth Mental Health Therapist, you'll provide therapy and support in schools and community partner locations, including Normandy Schools Collaborative, the 24:1 Community Center, Epworth's Drop-In Center, and other assigned sites.

- Provide trauma-informed individual, family, and group counseling for youth ages 12–25.
- Complete assessments, treatment planning, and clinical documentation.
- Support youth experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, suicidal ideation, self-harm, and other mental health concerns.
- Help families navigate behavioral health services and connect with community resources.
- Collaborate with educators, school staff, and community partners to improve student well-being.
- Facilitate support groups and participate in multidisciplinary planning and intervention efforts.
- Coordinate care with internal and external providers while maintaining client confidentiality.
- Participate in program development, quality improvement, and prevention initiatives.
Required
- Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field.
- Missouri LMSW, PLPC, or equivalent license eligible for clinical practice.
- Experience working with children, adolescents, young adults, and families.
- Strong clinical, communication, and documentation skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred
- Missouri LPC or LCSW.
- Two or more years of counseling experience.
- Experience in school-based or community mental health settings.
- Crisis intervention and suicide risk assessment experience.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English).
Schedule: Full-time, exempt, 11-month position. Typical hours are Monday–Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. (40 hours weekly), with occasional flexibility requested to support school and community events.
Starting salary: $53,387+ based on experience.

CHADS is a 501(c)(3) organization offering Signs of Suicide®, Family Support, and Social Emotional Well-being programs to advance the awareness and prevention of depression and suicide. Aside from providing adolescents and young adults ages 25 and under with counseling services and educational programs, we also serve parents, educators, and community members with resources, presentations, and more to provide a holistic and proactive approach to mental illness and bullying.Â
