St. Mary's Medical Center is seeing an Employee Relations Manager for our Human Resources Department.  The primary purposes of the Employee Relations Manager are to provide support and assistance to the Director of Human Resources regarding responding to requests for information and documents; workplace investigations; disciplinary matters; grievances  providing policy guidance and interpretation to employees at all levels of the organization and assisting the Director of Human Resources in developing, implementing, and administering the human resources function.

Qualifications

Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in human resource management or related field.  Master’s degree preferred.

 

Experience:

Minimum of three to four (3-4) years of position-related experience. Five (5) years of position-related experience preferred.  Experience in labor relations matters, including negotiations, grievances and contract arbitration.  A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Human Resources, preferably in health care. Thorough knowledge of the fundamentals of Human Resource management-employee relations and laws governing all such areas.  Prior experience in handling all phases and aspects of workplace investigations and employee disciplinary matters. Experience developing, implementing and interpreting human resources policies.  Experience with legal claims and processes in the employment context, including responding to subpoenas and information requests; unemployment claims, and providing support for resolution of claims.

 

Certifications/Skills:

Certification in Society for Human Resource Management – Professional Certification preferred.
