HELP LEAD THE HEART OF THE GUEST EXPERIENCE

Hilton Long Island/Huntington is seeking a polished, energetic and hands-on Assistant Front Office Manager to help lead our Front Office team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced hotel Front Desk Supervisor, Guest Services Manager or Assistant Front Office Manager who is ready to take the next step in their hospitality career at a busy, full-service Hilton hotel.

The Assistant Front Office Manager supports the daily operation of the Front Office, leads the team during assigned shifts and ensures every guest receives a warm welcome, responsive service and a memorable stay. The ideal candidate is visible, organized and calm under pressure, with the confidence to coach associates, resolve guest concerns and keep the operation moving.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Front Office Operations

  • Assist with the daily leadership of Front Desk, Guest Services, PBX and related front-office functions.
  • Serve as the manager on duty during assigned shifts.
  • Ensure efficient guest arrivals, departures, room assignments and billing.
  • Monitor lobby activity and maintain a visible leadership presence during peak periods.
  • Coordinate with Housekeeping, Engineering, Reservations, Sales and Security to resolve operational and guest concerns.
  • Review occupancy, arrivals, departures, VIPs, groups, special requests and hotel activity before each shift.
  • Support night audit and overnight operations when required.
  • Ensure accurate cash handling, credit-card processing, deposits and shift documentation.

Guest Experience

  • Create a welcoming, professional and responsive experience for every guest.
  • Resolve guest concerns promptly, professionally and with sound judgment.
  • Follow up on service-recovery matters to ensure appropriate resolution.
  • Recognize Hilton Honors members and ensure delivery of applicable benefits.
  • Monitor guest feedback and help develop action plans to improve satisfaction.
  • Empower associates to anticipate guest needs and make thoughtful service decisions.

Team Leadership

  • Lead daily pre-shift meetings and communicate hotel priorities, groups, events and service expectations.
  • Train, coach and support Front Office associates.
  • Provide real-time feedback, recognition and corrective coaching when needed.
  • Help prepare schedules and manage staffing based on occupancy and business demand.
  • Promote teamwork, accountability, professionalism and open communication.
  • Support interviewing, onboarding, performance management and associate development.
  • Maintain a positive workplace where associates feel informed and supported.

Brand Standards and Performance

  • Ensure consistent compliance with Hilton brand standards and Blue Sky operating expectations.
  • Support Hilton training requirements, quality-assurance preparation and departmental audits.
  • Monitor Front Office performance, productivity and service trends.
  • Help manage labor, supplies and departmental expenses.
  • Maintain accurate operational records, logs and reports.
  • Protect guest privacy and confidential hotel information.
  • Follow all safety, security, emergency and loss-prevention procedures.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • At least two years of hotel Front Office or Guest Services experience.
  • Previous supervisory or management experience strongly preferred.
  • Hilton or other major-brand hotel experience preferred.
  • Experience with hotel property-management systems and reservation platforms.
  • Strong guest-service and service-recovery skills.
  • Ability to lead confidently in a busy, high-volume environment.
  • Strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of Front Office procedures, room inventory, billing and cash handling.
  • Ability to coach associates and hold the team accountable with professionalism.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard hotel technology.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; hospitality or business degree preferred.
  • Ability to stand and move throughout the hotel for extended periods.
  • Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, overnights, weekends and holidays based on hotel needs.
