About the Role:
Matrix Systems & Technologies Inc is looking for a talented Full Stack Java Developer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on mission-critical systems supporting the Department of Homeland Security in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. If you hold an active DHS clearance and are passionate about building robust, scalable solutions, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain full stack Java-based applications for DHS programs and initiatives
- Build and optimize RESTful APIs and microservices using Java/Spring Boot frameworks
- Develop responsive front-end interfaces using modern frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.js
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including architects, business analysts, and QA engineers
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives
- Ensure application security, performance, and compliance with federal IT standards
- Conduct code reviews and contribute to continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
Requirements:
- Active DHS clearance required
- 3+ years of full stack development experience with Java and related frameworks (Spring, Spring Boot)
- Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern UI frameworks
- Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience working in Agile development environments
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred
