Put Your Mechanical Skills to Work in the Field

Are you an experienced mechanic who enjoys diagnosing problems, working with your hands, and finding solutions when equipment isn't operating as it should? Tri-State Bobcat is looking for a Field Service Technician to join our Hudson team.

For more than 40 years, Tri-State Bobcat has earned a reputation for quality equipment and dependable service. In this role, you'll work both in the field and in the shop, diagnosing and repairing a range of compact construction, forestry, and grounds equipment. If you're an independent problem-solver who takes pride in quality work, this is an opportunity to put your skills to use.

What You'll Do

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diesel, hydraulic/hydrostatic, electrical, and other equipment systems
  • Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and post-repair testing to ensure equipment is operating properly
  • Travel to customer locations and independently complete service and repair work
  • Identify needed parts and repairs and ensure work is completed to specifications
  • Complete accurate work orders, including labor, parts, repairs, and recommendations
  • Communicate job status and repair findings with the Service Manager and customers
  • Follow company safety standards and participate in manufacturer/vendor training to stay current on equipment and technology

What We're Looking For

  • Experienced mechanic with strong diesel equipment repair and diagnostic skills
  • Knowledge of hydraulic/hydrostatic and electrical systems
  • Experience with compact construction, agricultural, forestry, or similar equipment
  • Ability to operate Bobcat or comparable equipment
  • Strong computer skills for diagnostics and work order documentation
  • Complete set of mechanic's tools; eligible for our Tool Allowance Program
  • Valid driver's license and ability to obtain/maintain a DOT health card
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, manage a schedule, and complete quality work on time

Why Join Tri-State Bobcat?

  • Paid manufacturer and vendor training, including online and in-person opportunities
  • Tax-free boot and tool allowances
  • Company-provided uniforms with free weekly laundering
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with company matching
  • PTO plus 7 paid holidays
  • Company-paid life and AD&D insurance, with supplemental options
  • Employee Assistance Program

If you're a skilled mechanic seeking a position where your experience is valued, your work is diverse, and you can work independently, we'd like to hear from you.
