Requirements

Revit Modeler Job Responsibilities:  

Revit Modeler Job Responsibilities: At Wired Engineering our employees wear many hats and encourage innovation that fosters advancements. These are the basic responsibilities of the role, but we ask that candidates understand that this list is not all-inclusive.

  • Sets up projects and produces Revit models and drawings for telecommunications, security, surveillance, and audio/video systems designs.
  • Builds and maintains Revit families, templates, and content libraries to support engineering design standards.
  • Models structured cabling pathways and equipment layouts including copper and fiber infrastructure.
  • Models Physical Security System components including access control devices, power supplies, wiring diagrams, and intercom systems per engineering direction.
  • Assists with 3D modeling for Surveillance Systems to help verify desired camera views and coordinate design documentation.
  • Models Audio/Video system components including speaker systems, microphones, displays, projectors, and control systems.
  • Coordinates models across disciplines to identify and resolve clashes using Revit and Navisworks.
  • Prepares drawings and supporting documentation for use in construction.
  • Assists with project setup, drawing sets, and documentation organization.
  • Responds to engineering information requests and supports staff with modeling questions.
  • Helps maintain client satisfaction by producing accurate, well-coordinated deliverables on schedule.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and participating in professional societies.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Revit Design and Modeling (Required)
  • Problem-solving ability and self/team accountability
  • Detail oriented
  • Experience in Autodesk AEC software (AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, ACC/Forma)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel (minimum))
  • Team mentality
  • Time management and deadline conscience

Desired Education, Experience, & Licensing: We understand that candidates may not have all the credentials listed below.

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in drafting, engineering technology, or related field preferred
  • 1+ years relevant Revit modeling experience, including internship or cooperative program experience
  • Autodesk Certified Professional (Revit) a plus
  • Familiarity with telecommunications, security, or AV systems documentation a plus

Salary: We offer competitive salaries and bi-annual bonuses. Our annual raises are based on inflation and not on performance. Performance-related incentives are offered through promotions and bi-annual bonuses.

Work Location: We are firm believers that quality work can happen anywhere in the world. This position is offered as a partial work from home for qualified candidates, so you have the freedom to work where it best suits your productivity.  Candidates should be located in Central Florida to be able to assist with local projects.
