Mainframe Solutions is recruiting an experienced Heavy Civil Superintendent for an established contractor supporting complex civil construction projects throughout the Houston market.
This opportunity is designed for a field leader who understands how to turn plans and schedules into safe, productive execution.
You will take ownership of day to day field operations, coordinating crews, subcontractors, equipment, materials, inspections, production, and project sequencing while working closely with Project Managers and company leadership.
Projects may include excavation, underground utilities, site development, concrete roadways, paving, drainage, structural foundations, stabilization, and other heavy civil scopes.
Compensation ranges from $100,000 to $130,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

What would you do as a Superintendent
As a Heavy Civil Superintendent, you will be responsible for driving field execution.
Your day will involve coordinating manpower and equipment, planning upcoming work, communicating with Project Managers, directing subcontractors, monitoring production, resolving field conflicts, and ensuring work is completed safely and according to project requirements.
You will serve as a key connection between the project plan and what happens in the field.
This position requires a Superintendent who can lead people, anticipate problems, understand production, and maintain accountability without sacrificing safety or quality.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily heavy civil field operations
- Coordinate crews, subcontractors, equipment, materials, and deliveries
- Manage work involving earthwork, excavation, underground utilities, concrete, paving, drainage, and site development
- Develop daily and weekly work plans with project leadership
- Monitor production, manpower, equipment utilization, and project progress
- Read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and project requirements
- Coordinate inspections and maintain quality standards
- Identify field conflicts and develop practical solutions
- Communicate project progress and potential issues to Project Managers
- Maintain accurate field documentation
- Enforce company safety procedures and jobsite expectations
- Ensure work is completed according to schedule and project requirements

Qualifications
- 5+ years of heavy civil field construction experience
- Previous Superintendent, General Superintendent, Foreman, or comparable field leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of civil construction means and methods
- Ability to read and interpret civil plans and specifications
- Understanding of manpower, equipment, production, and sequencing
- Strong field leadership and communication skills
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and quality
- Ability to coordinate multiple crews and subcontractors simultaneously
