Position Summary

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for leading all warehouse operations supporting a high-volume, high-mix electronics manufacturing facility. This role oversees the receipt, storage, inventory control, material handling, kitting, shipping, and logistics functions while ensuring material accuracy, on-time delivery to production, and compliance with quality, ESD, safety, and regulatory requirements. The Warehouse Manager drives operational excellence through Lean Manufacturing principles, inventory optimization, process standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations
  • Lead all warehouse activities including receiving, incoming inspection coordination, storage, picking, kitting, staging, shipping, and cycle counting.
  • Ensure uninterrupted material flow to SMT, PCB assembly, box build, system integration, and final assembly production lines.
  • Develop and maintain efficient warehouse layouts that maximize space utilization and material accessibility.
  • Establish and monitor warehouse KPIs including:
    • Inventory Accuracy
    • On-Time Material Delivery
    • Dock-to-Stock Time
    • Order Picking Accuracy
    • Shipping Accuracy
    • Inventory Turns
    • Warehouse Productivity
Inventory Management
  • Maintain inventory accuracy of 99% or greater through robust inventory control processes.
  • Manage cycle count programs and annual physical inventories.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Optimize inventory levels while minimizing excess and obsolete material.
  • Ensure FIFO/FEFO inventory management where applicable.
Materials Planning & Production Support
  • Collaborate closely with Planning, Procurement, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality teams.
  • Ensure timely material availability to support production schedules and customer deliveries.
  • Coordinate material shortages, expedite critical components, and support production recovery plans.
Shipping & Logistics
  • Manage domestic and international shipping operations.
  • Ensure compliance with customer shipping requirements and export/import regulations.
  • Coordinate with freight carriers, third-party logistics providers, and customs brokers.
  • Optimize freight costs while maintaining delivery performance.
Team Leadership
  • Recruit, train, coach, and develop warehouse supervisors and warehouse personnel.
  • Establish performance expectations and conduct regular performance evaluations.
  • Foster a culture focused on accountability, teamwork, safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop succession plans and employee cross-training programs.
Process Improvement
  • Lead Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives within warehouse operations.
  • Implement 5S, visual management, standardized work, and waste reduction activities.
  • Utilize root cause analysis methodologies (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone) to resolve operational issues.
  • Drive warehouse automation and digital transformation initiatives when applicable.
Systems & Compliance
  • Ensure accurate transactions within ERP/WMS systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
  • Maintain material traceability required for electronics manufacturing.
  • Ensure compliance with:
    • ISO 9001
    • ISO 45000
    • ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) requirements
    • OSHA regulations
    • Environmental, Health & Safety policies
       
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, Logistics, or related field.
  • 3+ years of warehouse, logistics, or materials management experience.
  • Leadership experience on warehouse operations.
  • Experience in high-tech electronics, EMS (Electronics Manufacturing Services), semiconductor, or related manufacturing environments.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP systems.
  • Experience with barcode scanning, inventory management technologies, and material traceability.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • APICS CPIM or CSCP certification.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
  • Experience supporting SMT and PCB assembly operations.
  • Knowledge of IPC standards and electronics component handling.
  • Experience implementing warehouse automation solutions.
