Job Description

As a Senior Pricing Analyst, you'll develop pricing strategies and detailed cost models for U.S. Government contract proposals, balancing competitiveness, profitability, and risk while ensuring compliance with federal regulations and company policies.

You'll analyze staffing requirements, compensation expectations, contract costs, and market trends; evaluate profitability; and translate complex pricing information into actionable recommendations for leadership and proposal teams.

  • Build and manage detailed cost models and pricing templates, accurately estimating and documenting labor, materials, overhead, and other applicable costs.
  • Analyze staffing requirements, local compensation expectations, prevailing wage rates, and locality pay differentials to develop realistic and compliant labor pricing.
  • Perform cost and profitability analyses for proposals and ongoing contracts, providing recommendations on pricing decisions, cost trade-offs, and expected profit margins.
  • Maintain pricing compliance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and internal company policies.
  • Monitor labor market rates, material costs, competitor pricing strategies, and other market factors that may affect pricing and adjust models and strategies accordingly.
  • Peer review pricing models developed by other analysts and provide additional analytical support to the FP&A Director as needed.

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience managing pricing within the Government contracting space.
  • Experience with multiple Government contract types, including FFP, Cost-Plus-Award-Fee (CPAF), T&M, and IDIQ, with demonstrated success developing pricing strategies for federal proposals.

  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, including proficiency in building complex cost models using advanced Excel or similar tools and interpreting large data sets.
  • Solid understanding of profitability drivers and government-contract cost structures, with the ability to balance competitiveness and profitability.
  • Ability to clearly communicate pricing data, rationale, and implications to executives, proposal teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple pricing projects under tight deadlines.
