We are seeking a 2nd shift detail-oriented and reliable Mechanical Assembler responsible for the assembly and testing of enclosed drive gearboxes. This manufacturing role will consist of gear box assembly/Twist element production and subassemblies, as well as monitoring equipment and performing measurements, troubleshooting, and correcting errors. Experience with material traceability, batch production and mechanical aptitude will be a big plus in this role.Â
Responsibilities
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs gear box assembly and test
- Reads blueprints, calipers and other measuring instruments, records dimensions, and other details on production logs
- Cleans and maintains work area and equipment, including tools
- Maintains a safe working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Works with other facility teams (Purchasing, Quality, and Engineering) to ensure that assembly/test problems are addressed and resolved quickly
- Leaning and reaching for long periods of time may be required
- Overtime and occasional weekends will be required as needed
- Support all NOV HSE policies and procedures

Qualifications
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Background in industrial machinery assembly required
- Must be able to read assembly blueprints in English format
- Forklift skills required
- Material handling experience required
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Minimum of 18 years of age
