What you will be doing…

  • Prepareaircraftcomponentsfor a paint job by performing thorough sanding, masking, and priming procedures, ensuring smooth and flawless surfaces.
  • Inspect componentstoidentifyimperfections, scratches, or dents that require repair or attention.
  • Responsible for painting, base coat application, refinishing, corrosiontreatmentandcuring requirements.
  • Maintainand enforce a clean workstation/Paint Booths, free from Foreign Object/Debris (FOD) including tooling used to perform painting duties. 
  • Perform all workin accordance withFederalAviation Administration (or equivalent) guidelines.
  • Adhere to Cobalt’s Repair Station Quality Manual and internal processes. 
  • Ensure your work area is neat, clean, and in safe condition.
  • Observe,implementand uphold company safety and OSHA guidelines and company Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) policies. (e.g.safety glasses, respirators, ear protection, etc.) 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 What we are looking for…

You will need to:

  • Mechanical and Mathematical aptitude.
  • Mustbe able to understand written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong workethicand willingness to perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Ability tolift upto 50 lbs. 

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Prior experience in a mechanical-based setting
  • Experience with sanding and masking
  • 1+ years of experience painting aviation or auto components
